Jacksonville Commercial Electrician Project:
Clay Eye
June 29, 2021
The commercial electrical department of American Electrical Contracting is proud to have contributed to the success of the Clay Eye project in . The project covered 13,174 square feet.
American Electrical Contracting offers many variations of specialties, including electrical needs in medical facilities. Clay Eye is one of the most recent medical facilities our commercial electricians had the opportunity to be a part of.
The Fleming Island Clay Eye facility is the flagship location of the multi-location eye health center. American Electrical Contracting completed the electrical work on the first phase of the project, a patient health care center and medical office.
The main lobby features an interesting visual for patients upon entrance. When looking at the ceiling, patients see exposed roof decking and clouds. This presented a unique wiring approach that included running conduit between the roof deck and the roof. The building also features other unique designs, such as aluminum door frames and integrated lighting and controls.
Health care offices and surgery centers require careful coordination between subcontractors and specialties. Medical equipment and technology require exacting specifications along with specific location and cord requirements. The medical equipment is essentially modular and needs to be able to plug in at an exact location. As a medical facility, it is AHCA inspected.
Despite starting during tropical weather season, this project was finished on-time and on-budget.
