Emergency Power Systems and Generators
Our Installers are Factory-Trained and Certified
Storm seasons can be unpredictable, emphasizing the need for emergency power systems and generators. And as they become more in demand, it is important to partner with the right electrical contractor to plan, install and maintain your system. That is why we have partnered with Generac to ensure our teams are factory-trained and certified.
We have been installing and repairing generators for over 10 years, and have maintained one of the highest rates of generator installation in the region since 2016.
Emergency Power Needs to be Seamless
For an emergency backup solution to be successful, it must be reliable and easy to operate. Our trained planners and installers have delivered successful projects time and time again by making sure to take every variable into account. From analyzing individual circuits, to installing transfer switches, to safety needs, to working with staff to ensure proper training, we deliver. Additionally we provide turn-key maintenance plans, so you can be sure your system is ready when it is needed.
Beyond Factory Certification
We know other companies have certified installers too, which is why we demand more. American Electrical Contracting is the best reviewed electrical company in the region. A title we have worked hard to gain. And while we have grown to be one of the largest electrical contractors in Northeast Florida, we have kept our focus on quality and safety. Our safety record is one of the best in the industry, with every employee certified in safety training. So no matter the size of your project, we have what it takes to do it right.
We understand that choosing the best generator may be a confusing process. That’s why our installers are trained to work with you to identify what electrical systems you need or want in an outage.
There are a few major questions when deciding on a generator:
- What kind of fuel do you have/need?
- How much power do you need?
- Do you want an automatic start?
- What is your local climate like?
- Will you be able to access the unit during extreme weather, if necessary?
- Where is your building’s electrical room?
- Do you have the space inside?
- How old is your building?
But don’t worry, our team will help you answer these questions, and design and install a generator system that meets your needs and your budget.
What to expect:
- You schedule an appointment with our team to come look at your property to decide on which generator fits your needs.
- Our Licensed Project Manager/Estimator will come to you and work with you on what you need/want.
- Our factory-certified technicians then come back and install the generator for you.
- We will set up a maintenance plan that is right for you to ensure your generator is always prepared for an unexpected outage.
We can also help with other generator options and add-ons, including:
- A UPS (uninterrupted power supply) battery system for equipment that can’t tolerate even a few seconds of power loss
- Dual-fuel systems that run on both natural gas and propane under a 60kw
- Wireless remote monitoring and control systems
