With the growing population of the Palm Coast area, comes a growing need of community. What better way to build and connect a community than over 40,000 sq. ft. of endless activities?
The brand new Palm Coast Southern Recreation Center is a massive property with 12 pickleball courts and a community building with locker rooms, dining space, and so much more.
Construction began in early 2023 and came to a close in January 2024. This ground-up project includes state-of-the-art equipment all throughout the property. From lighting to safety features, guests will be in awe.
A notable safety feature is the elevator shunt trip. In the case of a fire, this feature will stop the elevator in its tracks to prevent malfunction when the sprinkler system turns on. While cutting the power to the elevator may seem scary, it is an important safety precaution to prevent injury or damage if the mechanics malfunctioned due to water.
One of the most exciting aspects of this project are the 12 pickleball courts. Now with LED lighting in the exterior area, patrons can play even after nightfall and still feel safe, and see the ball! The new Palm Coast Southern Recreation Center will become a new favorite stop in this growing community.
