The commercial electrical department of American Electrical Contracting is proud to have contributed to the success of the World’s Largest Scoreboards Installed at Everbank Field project in .
Installing the LED modules that produce the video on the worlds largest scoreboards at Everbank Field, home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. At 60 feet high, 362 feet long and lit by 35.5 million LED bulbs, the screens located on both ends of the field, gives everyone in the stadium the big picture. Under Project Manager Gary Hopkins, Master Electrician and Kathy Riley, Dispatch Manager, American Electrical Contracting has been the official Daktronics Installation and Service Company for North East Florida and the Southern Region of Georgia for several years.
Daktronics is the world’s leader for designing and manufacturing scoreboards. Located in Brookings South Dakota where in 1968 it was founded by two electrical engineering professors from South Dakota State University, Aelred Kurtenbach and Duane Sander, with the design and manufacture of electronic voting systems for state legislatures. It is now the world’s leader in electronic scoreboards. These electronic scoreboards have become a valuable tool pulling people out of their recliners and away from their big screen home theater systems, to a bigger screen coupled with the real live action in stadiums.
