Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

To unlock the best savings, you need the right team.

When optimizing energy use for multiple properties or a large site, it is important to understand more than just what equipment can create savings. An effective plan looks at all factors, including how your utility billing is calculated, what the major contributors are to your peak power consumption and what tax credits apply, to name just a few.

American Electrical Contracting has specially trained experts in energy efficiency. Our staff are LEED certified and, more importantly, they are experienced at working with property and site managers. We know how to help you cut through the clutter and get to the savings that make sense. Our goal is to save you money. As we work together, we will help you see savings by calculating cost and ROI along the way.

If you want to find the right savings, contact us. One of our energy efficiency project managers will be happy to meet you on-site.

What factors go into energy efficiency and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) planning?

Energy Audits

We start by working with you to analyze your power consumption. We review lighting, large energy systems, peaks and other factors that impact your electric costs.

Equipment and Bulbs

We install energy efficient products, like LED and fluorescent bulbs, electronic ballast, low voltage lighting, timers and motion sensors to name a few. Each product is determined by budget and savings. For instance, while a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) or LED operates much more efficiently than a traditional incandescent bulb, installing a dimmer may be a more efficient solution overall.

Automation

We work with you to determine what areas of power usage can be saved using timers, motion sensors and other monitoring equipment. We also work with you to determine causes for peak power demands and install automation processes to offset some of your bigger factors.

Installation and Follow Up

The installation process is vital. Each of the energy efficiency products must be installed and configured right to reach their peak savings to maximize your ROI. We make sure our equipment is installed right. And we follow up, making sure you are seeing the right savings.
